Savoury corn dish


Ingredients

Corncob....1

Oil...1 tbsp

Asafoetida (Hing)....1pinch

Mustard seed......1 tsp

Ginger chopped...1 tsp

Green chilli....chopped ....few (optional)

Turmeric....1/2 tsp

Gram flour....1and half tsp

Milk....1/4 cup

Salt to taste

Sugar....1 tsp

Water..... 1 tbsp

Coconut(grated) ..... 1 tbsp


Method

Grate corn and keep aside.

In a pan heat oil. Add mustard seed, asafoetida and allow it all to crackle

Now add chopped ginger, chili, and saute.

Add gram flour. Saute on a low flame till flour gets well roasted.

Add grated corn and cook for 3 minutes. Add milk, salt and sugar allow to cook. Add water n cook again until the mixture thickens.

Serve hot.

Garnish with grated coconut and green coriander.


You can savor this dish as it is or team it up with some crackers.
